NVQ Assessors and Internal Verifiers - Take the Next Step and Become an External Verifier
We have interesting opportunities for experienced NVQ practitioners to join our team of external verifiers and work in partnership with Edexcel centres to quality assure our NVQ qualifications.
We are currently recruiting EVs for the following sectors:
Facilities Management
Advice and Guidance (based in South of England) Clinical Lab Support
Construction / Technical Design
Hospitality and Catering
Pharmacy Services (South)
Road Passenger Transport
Security
Spanish (London & SE)
Spectator Safety
Supply Chain Management
Supporting Teaching and Learning
To be considered for the NVQ EV role you must have experience as an assessor and/or internal verifier and hold, or be working towards, the relevant assessor/verifier qualifications.
You should also have industrial experience in your specialist subject, formal qualifications, and be familiar with current occupational standards and assessment strategies.
Our EVs are able to develop further their understanding of the assessment process through the training, support and knowledge they gain. In turn this helps enhance the quality of provision within their own organisation. In addition, EVs benefit from the following:

Experience/Qualifications needed
- You will have experience as an assessor and/or internal verifier.
- You will hold D32/D33/D34 or will hold/be working towards the A1/V1 qualifications.
- You will meet the related occupational requirements, as set out in the relevant sector assessment strategy for the role of External Verifier e.g.industrial experience, formal qualifications.
- You will be familiar with current occupational standards and assessment strategies.
- You would be able to commit to a minimum of 10 days work, to include annual standardisation and training
Competencies required
- You will have good communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal, and the confidence to uphold professional decisions.
- You will have effective time-planning skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- You will be IT literate.
Additional requirements
- You will have the internet with access to a broadband connection and a secure password protected e-mail facility, with the ability to transmit and receive a variety of file formats and sizes as attachments.
