Moderator - GCSE - CITIZENSHIP STUDIES

Our examiners and moderators undertake a vital role in education, shaping the future of thousands of students.

A Moderator will review the centre assessment of candidate's work in accordance with the agreed assessment criteria and Edexcel's procedures.

As a teaching professional, you already posses high levels of commitment and dedication. We will complement that with comprehensive training, and support you throughout the assessment process, whether the scripts are marked traditionally or online.

Being a moderator can inspire fresh ideas and new approaches to teaching your subject and will give you valuable insight into national standards. In short, it will help enhance your teaching skills.

The marking period is between May - July

Experience/Qualifications needed

  • You will have teaching or assessment experience in the relevant subject and level.
  • You will have a degree or equivalent.
  • You will be a qualified or qualifying teacher.

Competencies required

  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure.
  • You will have the ability to meet deadlines.
