Role Summary
An Examiner marks candidates’ responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to the Code of Practice and examination procedures as set out by Pearson.

Responsibilities

  • To review the marking of examiners where candidate responses have been written Mandarin.
  • To monitor the marking of examiners and provide written feedback (in Mandarin) on the accuracy of each examiners marking.
  • To mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
  • To submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • To ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
  • To ensure all administration is completed as specified.


Experience and Qualifications Required

  • You will have a degree or equivalent.
  • You will be a qualified teacher.
  • You will have UK school-based teaching experience, in the relevant subject and qualification.
  • You will have the right to work in the UK and a UK bank account.


Competencies Required

  • You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme.
  • You will be fluent in both Mandarin and English.
  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • You will be IT literate.
