Reference:E/BDS/His Closing date:20 November 2018 at midnight A GCSE History (British Depth Study 2016 Specification) Examiner marks candidates’ responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures. Most subjects will be marked onscreen using ePEN, which can be done from home. A few subjects are still marked in the traditional method, using paper scripts sent through the post. A high level of subject knowledge is necessary in order to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts. We are also recruiting for: Examiner - GCE A Level - History (2016 Specification) This role will be marking the British Depth Study section of Paper 2 from unit 1HIO only. If you are offered a contract you will be marking either B1 & B2 or B3 & B4 depending on the preference you select in your application. Medieval Options: B1: Anglo-Saxons and Norman England, c1060 - 88 and B2: The reigns of King Richard l and Kind John, 1189 - 1216. Tudor: B3: Henry VIII and his ministers, 1509 - 40 and B4: Early Elizabethan England, 1558 - 88. If you wanted to be considered for the Period Study section on Paper 2 you will need to make an application by clicking on the link below: Please note that you will only be eligible to receive one contract for Paper 2, so you will either be marking a topic from the Period Study or the British Depth Study. New Examiner Training will be available to contracted Associates and the dates of the training will be made available to you should you receive a contract.
