Role Summary
A Visiting Examiner will review the centre assessment of candidates' work in accordance with the agreed assessment criteria and Edexcel's procedures. Each Visiting Examiner will moderate a specified number of centre samples.
Standardisation events for this role will take place throughuot January 2011.
Responsibilities
- Attend Standardisation Meeting
- Complete a minimum of 6 visiting sessions (1 session is 3 hours in duration)
Experience/Qualification needed
- You will have a degree or equivalent.
- You will be a qualified or qualifying teacher.
- You will have teaching or assessment experience in the relevant subject and level Competencies required
- You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme.
- You will have the ability to work well under pressure.
- You will have the ability to meet deadlines.
Additional information
- The moderation period is between February -May
- With an average allocation your fee would be £700 -£1000
- A fee for attending standardisation will also be paid when you have submitted your reports to Edexcel
