Pearson currently have an opportunity for a Principal Moderator to join their Edexcel GCE AS Level Physical Education senior assessment team

Role summary
A Principal Moderator ensures that internally assessed units meet the required standard and are consistent with the unit specification and assessment criteria.
The Principal moderator is responsible to the Chief Examiner for the setting of coursework tasks and the standardising of coursework moderation.
You will be required to
- Standardise moderators
- Provide exemplar material
- Organise and lead on the standard of the unit
- Sit in the awarding committee
- Monitor the standard of assessment for the unit
- Take part in review and planning meetings
- Carry out re-moderations and EARs
Experience and qualifications required
- You will have a degree or equivalent
- You will be a qualified teacher
- You will have at least two years experience teaching Physical Education at GCE
- You will have a good knowledge of the current specification, preferably through currently teaching it but otherwise through recently teaching it
- You will have assessment experience up to Team Leader level in the relevant qualification
- You will have experience of managing people

- You will be IT literate
