Pearson is recruiting a Principal Examiner for Edexcel GCSE English Literature - units 5ET1H/01 and 5ET1F/01

The Principal Examiner is responsible for producing appropriate assessment materials, including question papers and mark schemes, and for leading the standardisation of their assessment.
Responsibilities
Write papers post 2012 and monitor the marking from Summer 2012. This requires:
attending QPECs
redrafting & checking question papers
writing and refining mark schemes
training examining teams
monitoring the marking – using validity items
Contribute to the Awarding of the GCE Units

Experience and qualifications required
- You will have a degree or equivalent
- You will be a qualified teacher with an English teaching background
- You must have knowledge of the GCSE English Literature specification
- You will have assessment experience up to Team Leader level in the relevant qualification
- You will have experience of managing people
