Writers for BTEC QCF English Level E3 qualifications 

We are looking for innovative writers with fresh ideas that motivate learners and set them on the path to success. We are currently recruiting writers for our QCF Adult English Skills qualification at level E3. 

As a writer you would be involved in shaping and developing the content and assessment of the new qualification. You would be required to write one, or more, of the units for the English E3 specification and sample assessment materials (SAMs) for that unit. The qualification consists of two units for each of the following English Skills : writing, reading and speaking and listening.

You would need to be available to start work during the second half of July.

To be eligible for this role you will:

  • Have current experience of teaching English in adult basic skills or within vocational qualification contexts
  • Have been educated to a level 4 standard with relevant qualifications
  • Have a good understanding of the differences in levels of qualification and how to communicate that in writing (an ability to write at the level of the qualification is important )
  • Have good written communication skills particularly in your sector/subject area of choice
  • Be confident using IT
  • Have the ability to pick up new skills quickly and apply them (writing of assessment criteria)
  • Have the ability to follow a brief
  • Be able to write clearly and concisely
  • Be able to work to and meet tight deadlines

The fee for unit writing will be £175 per day.
