Reference:Chief/GCSE/Greek/1GK0 Closing date:20 February 2024 at midnight Chief Examiner • To take responsibility for a complete specification and be responsible to the Chair of Examiners for ensuring that the examination as a whole, meets the requirements of the specification and maintains standards year on year. Responsibilities • To supervise the Principal Examiners to ensure consistency across the whole qualification • To contribute fully in the production of all the question papers and mark schemes to maintain consistent standards across all exam materials. • To ensure that the question papers, as a whole, cover the assessment criteria as set out in the specification and satisfactorily sample the appropriate content. • To act as Principal Examiner for at least one component of the examination, preparing materials, standardising examiners and ensuring quality and timeliness of marking throughout the exam session. • To participate in the Awarding process, ensuring that there is comparability in the standards of awards made via different options or tiers. • To meet critical deadlines, occasional midweek meetings will be necessary Experience and Qualifications Required • You will have a high level of assessment experience • You will have experience of teaching • You will have experience of managing people • You will have standard PGCE Qualification • You will have detailed knowledge of the current specification Competencies Required • You will be a good communicator. • You will have sound organisational skills. • You will have the ability to work well under pressure. • You will have the ability to meet deadlines. • You will be IT literate.
