An International GCSE English as a Second Language (2023 Specification) Examiner marks candidates’ responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures. Most subjects will be marked onscreen, which can be done from home. A high level of subject knowledge is necessary in order to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts. Responsibilities
Experience/qualifications needed ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The examination period is between May and July. All new examiners will receive training, and a short training session will be available before marking begins. All of this can be done from home and in examiners' own time. Support from senior examiners will be available to all markers throughout the marking period.
