Pearson is recruiting a Chair of Examiners for the new Edexcel Primary and Lower Secondary Curriculum – Mathematics

Pearson is currently recruiting a Chair of Examiners for the new Edexcel Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum tests to be offered to international schools. We will be offering externally marked Achievement Tests and teacher marked Progress Tests. The tests will be offered across at two different levels – Primary (Year 6) and Lower Secondary (Year 9).
The Chair of Examiners maintains standards within a subject (in this case Mathematics) across different specifications from year to year.
To be eligible for the role you must hold a degree and have teaching experience at the relevant level and in the relevant subject. You will also need to hold National Curriculum Tests marking experience and have experience managing people.
You will be good with detail, responsive to feedback and have the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
In return you will receive training and be fully supported in your role. You will be paid a fixed fee based on a daily rate, and any specific meetings that you are required to attend. There are also many opportunities to get involved in other areas of the business.
