Pearson is recruiting a Lead Examiner for the new Edexcel Primary and Lower Secondary Curriculum – Science (Lower Secondary)

Pearson is currently recruiting a Lead Examiner for the new Edexcel Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum tests to be offered to international schools. We will be offering externally marked Achievement Tests and teacher marked Progress Tests. The tests will be offered at two different levels – Primary (Year 6) and Lower Secondary (Year 9).
The Lead PLSC Examiner for Science (Lower Secondary) produces appropriate assessment materials, including question papers and mark schemes, and is responsible for the standardisation of its marking.
To be eligible for the role you must be a qualified teacher, with teaching experience at the relevant level and in the relevant subject. You will also need to hold National Curriculum Tests marking experience and have experience managing people.
You will be good with detail, responsive to feedback and have the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
In return you will receive training and be fully supported in your role. You will be paid a fixed fee based on a daily rate, and any specific meetings that you are required to attend. There are also many opportunities to get involved in other areas of the business.
